Hydraulics and pneumatics
By completing the module, students acquire the theoretical fundamentals of fluid power (hydraulics and pneumatics) and are able to dimension fluid power assemblies. Through practical exercises, they will gain the ability to represent and examine hydraulic circuits.

- Basics of hydraulics and pneumatics (basic laws, energy considerations, fluidic working media, pressure and leakage losses)
- Pressure generators/pressure consumers (operating principle, general characteristics, types, operating behavior)
- Actuators and control devices (valve designs, hydraulic and pneumatic accessories, operating behavior)
- Design of circuits/fluidic transmissions (basic circuit diagrams, design of circuits, simple controls, simple transmissions)
