Phillip Barkow, M.Sc
Phillip Barkow studied Biomedical Engineering at the University of Rostock from 2016 to 2022. During his studies, he already completed his Bachelor's thesis "Development of a bioprinting process for processing human pacemaker cells" here at the chair and continued his work at the chair as part of HiWi activities. He successfully completed his studies in August 2022 with the master's thesis "3D printing of a polycaprolactone barium titanate composite for bone replacement".
After completing his studies, he worked at Albutec GmbH as a development engineer and production manager, where he was involved in the development and manufacture of adsorbers for liver dialysis.
Mr. Barkow has been a research assistant at the Chair of Microfluidics since March 2024. He works in the collaborative research center "ELAINE", where he deals with solutions for the treatment of osteochondral defects using tissue engineering.
