The SAPHIR 520 from ATM GmbH is a single-spindle grinding and polishing device. The contact pressure, speed and direction of rotation (polishing head and working disc) are adjustable.

This allows samples with a volume of approx. 100 mm³ to be ground and polished depending on the requirements and selection of the material.

Equipped with silicon carbide abrasive papers and GALAXY diamond grinding wheels as well as the GALAXY polishing cloths for diamond polishing help to examine samples metallographically.
