The MCR 702 rotational rheometer from the MCR series, manufactured by ‘Anton Paar’, is characterised above all by its flexible range of applications. Whatever the rheological requirements, the rheometer’s modular design allows for tailor-made and advanced solutions.

The equipment is very comprehensive and, with the Multidrive upgrade, now enables any rheological and mechanical analysis.

This allows low-viscosity samples, viscoelastic polymer melts, highly loaded photopolymer suspensions and hydrogels for cartilage replacement to be analysed using a wide variety of measurement strategies.

The Chair of Microfluidics (LFM), in collaboration with the Department of Life, Light & Matter (LL&M), offers the following equipment:

    • Peltier + Peltier hood, T = –40 °C … 200 °C
    • Heating chamber, T = –160 °C … 600 °C
  • Upper measurement geometries:
    • Plate D = 8 mm, 15 mm, 25 mm, 30 mm, 40 mm, 50 mm
    • Cone D/alpha = 50 mm / 1°, 40 mm / 0.3°
  • Lower Peltier measurement geometries:
    • Plate D = 25 mm, 50 mm
