Due to the increasingly wide application of additive manufacturing processes in the industrial sector, the quality standards of the manufactured components become more and more relevant. This quality requirement brings a challenge of implementing a quality assurance during the manufacturing process of additive manufactured components. So far there is no 3D printing process with such a quality control on the market. Due to this motivation, a novel process control and documentation system for 3D printers is developed within the framework of a cooperation project
