Ahmed Sannan M.Sc.

Scientific assistant

Ahmed Sannan studied Biomedical Engineering at the University of Rostock from 2016 to 2021.

He successfully completed his studies in September 2021 with his master´s thesis on “Characterization of the influences of additives and manufacturing parameters on the drug release of acrylate-based photopolymers”.

During his studies, Mr. Sannan gained his first practical experience as a student employee at Cortronik GmbH in Warnemünde. There, he initially worked in the department of “Quality Operations” and dealt with tasks such as cleanroom-monitoring as well as planning, implementation and evaluation of other quality-related processes. In this department, he also wrote his bachelor thesis on the topic of: “Analysis and minimization of contamination due to particles with stent production”.

Subsequently, he was involved in research on innovative surface treatment processes on stents in the “Technology Development Material & Laser” department.

Since January 2022, Mr. Sannan has been working as a scientific assistant at the Chair of Microfluidics within the BMWi-funded project “DDS-3D: Development of a hybrid SLA inkjet process for the production of jaw implants with local drug depots”. He is involved in the development of drug delivery systems using novel combined additive manufacturing processes.
