Christian Biermann, M.Sc.
scientific assistant
Christian Biermann studied mechatronics at the University of Rostock. He successfully completed his studies in 2024 with a master's thesis on “Field-assisted sintering and characterization of piezoelectric scaffolds made of LNKN for bone tissue engineering” at the Chair of Microfluidics.
During his studies, Mr. Biermann worked as a research assistant on sintering (FAST/SPS) and corona poling of piezoelectric scaffolds made of a composite ceramic (LNKN/ZnO).
Mr. Biermann has been working as a research assistant at the Chair of Microfluidics since November 2025. In the current research project “SolidBat - Development of a solid electrolyte sodium ion battery using scalable manufacturing processes for stationary applications,” he is working on the synthesis of a sodium superion conductor (NaSICON) using field-assisted sintering.
