The Chair of Microfluidics continuously offers interesting topics for student work (bachelor, master, student research project and diploma thesis) in various fields of generative manufacturing, medical engineering and micromachining. The following is a current selection:

  •     Optimization of the filter stage of a system for the extraction of regenerative cells by experimental investigations
  •     New development and optimization of a control system for a 3D printer Numerical flow simulation (CFD) of the loading process of microreservoirs
  •     Surface optimization of 3D printed titanium components by plasma polishing and investigation of the process results
  •     Performance of a parameter study in the field of metal 3D printing
  •     Constructive and drive engineering adaptation of a commercial polymer printer to accommodate a metal 3D printing print head
  •     Design optimization of a metal 3D printer
  •     Experimental surface characterization of plasma polished inner tube surfaces at different conductance values
  •     Design and construction of an endurance test rig for miniaturized drive shafts Development of a low-wear sliding pairing for miniaturized drive shafts
