Manuel Dethloff studied Mechanical Engineering with specialisation in Thermal Processes / Energy Systems and Fluid Mechanics at the University of Rostock. Already during industrial practice as well as writing his diploma thesis in Erlangen, he collected many practical experiences in the field of numerical flow simulation.

After completing his studies, Manuel worked as coordinator of the competence center for flow machines, a central scientific institution of the University of Rostock, where researchers from different scientific areas deal with interdisciplinary engineering topics in the field of flow machines.

Since January 2014, Manuel has been working at the Chair of Fluid Technology and Microfluidics. His field of work includes the development of methods for system modelling and numerical fluid simulation in the field of allergy diagnostics.
