Development of a 3D-printing method to manufacture ceramic components
For the production of individualized single pieces or small batch series the advantages of solid freeform fabrication methods such as 3D printing are particularly clear. With this method it is possible to quickly produce complex moldings on the basis of 3 dimensional CAD data. Within this project, an industry compliant 3D printing process for the preparation of ceramic bodies will be developed. The application area of this method can be both technical and medical.
